Jan 1 This morning we all went to church. At home the balance of day. Fair cold day.
Jan 2 Frank Baker and Paw are here today. The came from Indianapolis last night. We are hunting today. Cloudy with rain this evening.
Jan 3 Today I helped Bess do the washing. Paw went back to Seymour this morning. Fair cold day.
Jan 4 Nothing done today. Very cold day.
Jan 5 Coldest day in four years,10 below zero. Bess & Alice went to town this evening.
Jan 6 Still very cold today. The children went to church this morning. I stayed home to do the chores.
Jan 7 Nothing done today. Bess and I went to town this evening. Fair cold.
Jan 8 Today I took Linkhart 50 bu. load corn, 65 cents. Fair cold day.
Jan 9 Today I am shredding corn for Horstman. Tom Spencer is helping me. This evening I moved the shredder to Tom Spencer. That is the last Gobb(?). Fair warm day.

Jan 11 This morning I took cow to Horstman. This evening I took 400 lbs corn to town and had ground for feed. Snowy cold blustery day.

Jan 14 Today I attended a Shipping Association Meeting at town today. Fair cold day.
Jan 15 Today I took load of corn to town. Sold to Linkhart and brought home load of cinders. Warm cloudy.
Jan 16 Bess and I went to Seymour today. I had the radiator repaired on the little car. Rainy cold day.
Jan 17 This morning I hauled out manure. This evening I helped Ed Stewart kill 5 hogs. Cloudy cold day.
Jan 18 This morning I hauled out manure. This evening I shredded corn for Tom Spencer. Fair cold day.
Jan 19 Today I finished shredding corn for Tom Spencer. All done shredding now. Cloudy and warmer with snow tonight.
Jan 20 Fair and very cold. We didn't go to church this morning. All home this evening.

Jan 22 This evening I went to Seymour after Paw & Maw. Fair cold day.
Jan 23 We are butchering today. Killed 4 hogs. Paw, Bill Boner, Tom Rose and Ed Stewart helped. Pleasant day.
Jan 24 Today we are finishing cutting lard and rendering. Made the sausage. Rain snow today.

Jan 26 This morning I took Paw & Maw back to Seymour. The roads are very slick with icy. As I was coming home I turned the car over and mashed the windshield off and tore the top off. I didn't get hurt much. Bess and I went to town late this evening. Fair cold.
